Henkel new adhesives plant in Brazil went into operation in April.

April saw the official opening of the new polyurethane plant in Jundiaí, São Paulo. Among the select group of guests were senior executives Jan-Dirk Auris, Jean Fayolle and Jerry Perkins, as well as the colleagues responsible for the feasibility studies and management of the plant construction project.

Designed for extensive automation, the new plant occupies an area of 12,000 m², with 2,600 m² of it covered.

The construction of the plant met all environmental standards, with full use being made of natural lighting and ventilation.

This new polyurethane manufacturing capability will increase industrial adhesives production in Brazil by 40 percent, with sufficient capacity available not only to supply all Latin America but also to export to other continents.
