Essen, Germany – Evonik, a polyurethane additive company, has launched a number of new products including, Tego Dispers 672 a dispersing additive for solvent-borne applications.
This wetting and dispersing additive for pigment concentrates, car repair coatings, plastic coatings and industrial coatings, Tego Dispers 672 offers superior colour strength and transparency in pigment concentrates and coatings with both organic and carbon black pigments, Evonik said.
In addition, Tego Dispers 672 works well with many different solvent-borne binders and has good storage properties with colorants. The firm adds that it works well with 2-pack PU systems.
Evonik has also recently launched three other additives for the polyurethane market.
Tegostab B 8155 is an optimised silicone surfactant that helps to reduce the level of flame retardant needed in flexible foams for furniture and bedding applications, said Evonik.
In the spray foam market Evonik has launched Tegostab B 84704. This is a new, lower global warming potential surfactant which is designed to help formulators use newer blowing agents that are gaining ground in the US insulation market.
Finally, Evonik said its Tegostab B8745 LF2 is designed to help foamers for the automotive industry reduce VOC emissions in automotive foams.
